Esprit- The Smash Book Overhaul Cont'd.
The word esprit, a french word comes from the Latin word spiritus, which means a breathing, a spirit. I used pieces of an international newspaper in the background of this journal page. I thought after it was done it was kind of cool that the images underneath the face came through as if a breathing spirit. It was not intentional. It just seem to come together. Does that happen to you? Thanks for visiting here.
I am joining the party (late as usual) over here and here

How serendipitous! Love the results.
ReplyDeleteSuch an interesting face and great hairstyle! A sort of haughty eastern European woman.
ReplyDeleteIt always happens to me. I have learned to let the piece tell me what it wants to be. Your lady is lovely, very wise looking.
ReplyDeleteIt's always good when things shine through and make the art extra special, I love it when that happens! Have a nice weekend, Valerie

ReplyDeletevery interesting page! I find that the most interesting pieces in art often come together unintentionally. And they can bring the painting to a completely new direction.
ReplyDeleteI really like her face. There is a lot of expression in it all.
