Happy Paint Party Friday
I am continuing to journal in the car in the mornings before work. Yes, I am crazy with my in-the-car- art bag which right now contains the Moleskine journal, a plastic box with Neocolor water color crayons, a water brush. a glue stick, scissors, an an assortment of paper for collaging. I can easily lay down some color on a page or two and leave it on the front seat to dry. A woman's got her art on when she can and I do it best first thing in the morning and since I have to get to work early in order to get a decent parking spot, why not have art with my coffee before work? It makes it easier for me to start my work day...
It's been a heckova work week. I'm so glad it's Friday. I'm going to visit Paint Party Friday since I've not been there for a couple of weeks. I hope your week has been ok. Thanks for stopping in.

Nice mixed media, so great you can fit your art into your day!
ReplyDeleteTGIF........enjoy the weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteI Love this face! Beautiful work! Valerie
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Jo. See you at the class this morning.
ReplyDeleteI do like this - the very complex colourful background with the writing and trees, and the strong focal point of the face.
ReplyDeleteYou're very creative - on your journal and how you work with it :) - good idea to make your art whenever you have a moment for it!
ReplyDeleteHappy PPF!
I just love love love the way you put colours together my friend!! Kudos to you for the tenacity to create daily and make what could be a tough start into something beautiful!!

This is a lovely page! I'm very curious about your process (in your car : ). Do you spend all week on one page? Also, how do you juggle journaling and wet paint? I'd love a post describing your process on a page from start to finish - I'm currently stuck! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful ..... Love the colours, love the face, love everything ....
ReplyDeleteHi Joanna! Cool Journal page. Now you have a link to my blog.....which I don't post to very much anymore. But you may want to check out the old posts if you get bored. Have a good holiday!
ReplyDeleteHi Jo, I love this one with the insertion of the piece that looks like her thought of peace in the woods or mountains. Have a good week and thanks for stopping by my blog. I may get into the whole journal thing after the holidays.
ReplyDeleteWow ~ your journal page is awesome *and* I love the sound of that traveling art journal bag!
ReplyDeleteI use to write my books before work. I too went early to beat the horrendous traffic. Made it almost a 12 hour day for me. Your art is fabulous: the colors, the way they are arranged, and the illustration. Blessings, Janet PPF
ReplyDeleteI love that you do this; grabbing time when you can. Great page too!
ReplyDeleteSo wonderful that you are making journaling a priority! I don't really come to life that early but your man's face is really lovely and mysterious. You are doing a great job and diving into your subconscious at an early hour gives your work freshness and life. Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing. I love the dramatic effect of the not-flesh tone colours of your face.
ReplyDeleteWow! Great idea to journal in the car! Whatever gets you going do it! I really like the colors and mood of your page. Congrats on being featured on PPF!!!
